Tyson Fury made the boxing heavyweight champion ‘wait a long time’ for this reason

Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury still cannot have an official match after conflicts that are difficult to reconcile.

Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury have had many opportunities to fight each other but have never reached an agreement. The future of this war becomes more distant than ever

Both fighters have long been at odds but have yet to agree terms for one of the biggest fights in boxing history.

Anthony Joshua will face Otto Wallin on December 23 and possibly Deontay Wilder in March. Meanwhile, Fury is preparing to face Oleksandr Usyk. This caused the clash between the two fighters to come to a standstill.

“He will have to wait a long time for Tyson. Tyson was in the fight and his program was planned for next year and at the moment there was no Joshua. He had two opportunities to fight Tyson, one last December and one this year, but was unable to do so.

Those matches didn’t happen for whatever reason. We are now in a situation where some big matches will be announced. It all depends on what happens on Saturday,” Fury’s promoter Frank Warren told Sky Sports.

Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua still cannot clash in the ring

Joshua and Wilder must overcome Wallin and Joseph Parker respectively in Saudi Arabia this weekend to set up a clash that has been earmarked for March 9. The eventual winner will be the mandatory challenger to whoever holds the WBC title after Fury faces Usyk on February 17.

“The joint events have a lot of significance for boxing as Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder will be involved in exciting and tough fights. If they get through then they will both be in a position where I believe they will face off next year,” Warren added.

“It’s a big, huge game. A game that a lot of people, certainly the fans talk about a lot. But to get there they have to get through Saturday night in Riyadh.”
