Max Verstappen has traded in his F1 car for a slightly different model: a delivery truck.
Verstappen is currently in Japan for this weekend’s F1 Grand Prix, and he’s added a new step to his pre-match preparation routine.
When you drive for a brand like Red Bull, you have to get used to being roped into weird stunts.
Last year Verstappen found himself racing through mud in a crazy custom swamp buggy.
This year, they stepped it up a notch.
Japan is famous for its wild game shows, so it seemed only appropriate that Verstappen take part in one while in the country.
He was joined by F1 teammate Sergio Perez to make up team Oracle.
They took on Yuki Tsunoda and Liam Lawson, team AlphaTauri, for The Super Ultimate Japanese Racing Challenge Show.
The drivers got behind the wheel of tiny Honda Kei trucks.
The truck is iconic in Japan for transporting goods, so it’s slightly different from what they’re used to driving.
The teams went head-to-head in a series of challenges that both tested their driving skills and, most importantly, made them look funny.

The first challenge was to reverse the truck through a series of obstacles, which Verstappen immediately assigned to his teammate.
With Verstappen giving instructions on Perez’ reversing skills from the front seat, the pair looked like a driving instructor and a novice going for a spin.
This was not helped by the moment Perez accidentally turned on the windscreen wipers.
Verstappen took to the wheel for the next challenge: driving blindfolded.
He navigated the course with ease, perhaps a bit too much so.
Some fans suspect his competitive nature got the better of him and he peeped under his anime-style blindfold.
The giveaway?
The moment he checked his blind spot over his shoulder.
The teams challenged each other to a classic game of car 10 pin bowling and an obstacle course too.

In the end, Oracle were named the winners.
In case Verstappen needed any more practice in holding up a trophy.
