Well, no matter wherever we Indians go or live, our roots are so engraved within us that we just cannot take out the Indian and forget the desi–ness in us. Priyanka Chopra is a prime example of this. Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Nick Jonas had met each other at the Met Gala outing in 2017 and that had sparked the rumours of their dating as the two were seen getting pretty comfortable with one another. It was in August 2018, when Priyanka had announced the news of her roka with Nick Jonas by sharing a picture from the same on her social media handle. She had turned into Priyanka Chopra Jonas on December 1-2, 2018 as she had gotten married to the love of her life, Nick Jonas at Umaid Bhawan Palace as per both Christian and Hindu rituals. Since then, the couple has been giving relationship goals to the millennials.
We all known Priyanka is a global star and she juggles her career in Bollywood and Hollywood but she often gets criticized for her accent. Even Kareena Kapoor Khan had once taken a jibe on her accent on the famous show, Koffee With Karan. However, other’s opinion about Priyanka’s accent does not matter as long as Nick Jonas can accept his wife’s sudden change in accent. Recently, there is a cute throwback video circulating on social media, wherein, Priyanka can be seen talking about Nick’s reaction whenever she switches her accent from American to Indian.
In an interview, during the promotions of The Sky Is Pink, Priyanka had talked about the way Nick deals with her mixed accent. In the video, Priyanka could be seen talking about the times when she used to mix up accent so much that even her hubby, Nick couldn’t figure it out.
Revealing an interesting observation by Nick that whenever she argues her accent becomes so Indian that it becomes difficult for him to understand, she shared the way Nick deals with it and said, “Whenever we start arguing, he physically changes my direction and he says that talk to the wall and when you’re willing to have a conversation then I’ll move you back.” The video is shared by one of her fan pages and the caption can be read as “Our accent does change and it is very natural…After everything that Priyanka Chopra has achieved, Haters can’t stop talking about her accent…She doesn’t even try to please her haters ….She just speaks with that amazing ACCENT…and honestly, she speaks a million times better than all her haters..literally. A few days back, during an Instagram live session, the actress had indulged in some conversation with her fans when her hubby, Nick and their dog had dropped some utensils in the background disturbing her live session. Priyanka, who looked gorgeous as always in a blue turtle neck top with open hair and minimal makeup could be seen pretty miffed with the disturbance. Priyanka and Nick are indeed made for each other. In an interview with the Harper Bazaar, Priyanka had talked about the reason behind dating Nick. She had revealed that it was his music video, Close, which had made her fall in love with him. Talking about the same, she had stated, “My life has always been pretty musical, and now with Nick, it’s completely musical. I decided to date him after seeing the video for ‘Close,’ where his shirt comes off. So that song is my favourite.”
