Golden hero Sofyan Amrabat led Man Utd’s midfield against Chelsea in a 2-1 win

At Old Trafford, Manchester United defeated Chelsea two goals to one to secure all three points.

An incredible brace from Scott McTominay in each half was sufficient to guarantee that United returned to winning ways in the Premier League and ease some of the building pressure on Erik ten Hag and his players.

Chelsea held 56% of the ball whereas United only possessed 44%.

Out of their 28 attempts on goal, Ten Hag’s team managed to score nine goals. Chelsea, on the other hand, had 13 shots in all, although only three of those needed Andre Onana to make an intervention.

United completed 388 passes with an 85% completion percentage.

Chelsea completed 508 passes with an 86% accuracy rate.

The Red Devils’ victory over the Blues was largely due to Sofyan Amrabat. He began the game as the deepest-lying midfielder for his team, playing in a trio with McTominay and Bruno Fernandes.

Amrabat controlled the middle of the field against Chelsea’s high-paid midfield and was essential in neutralizing the little threat that Mauricio Pochettino’s players posed.

The Moroccan player completed ninety-nine minutes on the field with sixty-one touches of the ball.

With 45 of the 49 passes he attempted completed successfully, he had a personal pass accuracy of 92%.

The loanee from Fiorentina made one crucial pass. Amrabat attempted two dribbles and prevailed in both of them.

He engaged in seven ground fights, winning five of them. The 27-year-old was not obliged to participate in any airborne tasks.

Amrabat also recorded three tackles.

Amrabat has definitely placed himself in the running for a spot in the starting lineup Manchester United plays Bournemouth on Saturday.
