However, the 43-year-old singer was still ever the bathing beauty, showing off her sensational curves in the bikini, which featured an asymmetrical strap around the shoulder.

The semi-strapless two-piece attire effortlessly displayed her sculpted abs and toned thighs.

The Latina beauty slicked her hair back in a bun to enjoy the refreshing dip, but was not afraid to get it wet as she played around with her children.

She shielded her eyes from the sun with a pair of retro-inspired gold rimmed sunglasses and accessorised with big gold hoop earrings and a gold Hermes cuff.

Earlier, she had arrived at the pool wearing a retro-inspired kaftan and black wedges with zig-zag detailing on the heel.

The singer also joined her boyfriend Casper Smart for a dip, and the pair seemed to enjoy some alone time as they waded in the water together.

It seems things may be heating up for the couple, who began dating after Jennifer’s split from Marc Anthony.

In a recent interview, the Dance Again hitmaker admitted she’s looking forward to perhaps one day having children again, and is longing to have a big family.

She told The Sun: ‘I haven’t closed shop in that department.

‘I don’t know, we have to see — we only have so many years that you can do that.’

She added: ‘I am a lover. I mean, at my core I feel like that’s such a big part of my personality — and a part of why I do what I do — because I have so much to say on that subject.

‘I feel like that’s what my life is about.’

After their vacation it is back to work for the two. And today they were seen boarding a private jet together, their pool time obviously at an end.

JLo announced she was leaving American Idol back in July in order to focus more on her family and film career.

Fellow judges Steven Tyler and Randy Jackson have also announced their departure.

News came this week that Jennifer will be one of the first guests on Katie Couric’s new talk show, in a line-up which includes Barbara Streisand and Jessica Simpson.

Couric’s new show Katie, which launches September 10, is expected to talk to J-Lo about life after American Idol.

Jennifer recently told The Associated Press: ‘I do miss doing films. I feel like the last two years with Idol, I’ve really, really focused on, you know, my music.

‘It was all kind of very synergistic, it worked really well together.

‘But [film] is something that I really loved, it’s how I kind of started in this business, and it doesn’t leave you. I am an actress, I need to do that, too.’
