Travis Kelce has been feeling the nerves ahead of girlfriend Taylor Swift‘s birthday today – because he wants to make sure she is treated like a ‘princess’, as she gears up to throw a celebratory bash with her close friends this evening.

Taylor, who was spotted jetting out of Kansas City yesterday, will mark turning 34 at her New York City home, where she is expected to be joined by Blake Lively and Selena Gomez.

NFL tight end Travis, who had to fulfil training commitments this morning, is reportedly keen to continue celebrating her special day throughout the holiday, and even into 2024, with plans to join her on tour.

‘Travis is really nervous because he wants this to be her best birthday ever,’ a source told DailyMail.com. ‘It isn’t about gifts for him, though he will be getting gifts for her, but he wants to provide an experience for her that is likely going to be more than just today.

‘They are going to take their romance all over the world. He is very excited to make her feel like a princess.’

A separate source said Taylor already has the best birthday present in Travis.

‘She is in love and this is the best present life could give her right now,’ they said.

The comments came as boxes of flowers and party supplies, as well as trays of food, were delivered to her New York City apartment block this afternoon in preparation for her celebrations.

Taylor and Travis spent last weekend together as she supported him at yet another football match in Kansas, with the singer spotted kissing him on the cheek at an after party as they enjoyed Christmas cocktails with the rest of the team at pop-up bar.

The sportsman was absent on Tuesday night when Taylor was pictured kicking off her celebrations a day early at Manhattan’s Zero Bond with Selena, 31, and actor Miles Teller, 36.

Taylor opened up about her romance with Travis for the first time in an interview with TIME magazine last week and shut down rumors that their first date was her first appearance at one of his home games.

‘This all started when Travis very adorably put me on blast on his podcast, which I thought was metal as hell,’ she told the publication.
