Travis Kelce Says He Was ‘Trying to Keep My Cool’ When Patriots Showed ‘Amazing’ Taylor Swift During Game

The Kansas City Chiefs tight end opened up about the moment on the latest episode of his podcast, ‘New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce’

Travis Kelce was one of the thousands in awe of Taylor Swift during the Kansas City Chiefs’ latest game against the New England Patriots on Sunday.

On Wednesday’s episode of New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce, Travis, 34, opened up about the moment his girlfriend, also 34, was shown on the big screen at the Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts, and how he tried to remain unfazed.

“They showed Taylor at the game, and I mean you don’t see an entire home team fan base go insane for somebody wearing the opposite team’s colors,” said Travis of Swift, who wore a gray Chiefs sweatshirt and a crochet beanie featuring his jersey number, 87.

“It just shows you how amazing that girl is,” he continued on the podcast. “They went absolutely insane when they showed Taylor on the screen.”

“That’s pretty awesome,” his brother, Jason Kelce, added.

“I was trying to keep my cool,” Travis continued with a laugh. “I was like, ‘Don’t show your cards, don’t show your cards.’ It was fun, man. Shout out to the Patriots, New England. Taylor, she’s on record saying that that stadium is one of the funnest that she’s played at, so for them to show her is just kind of showing her some love. So shout out to the Patriots for doing that.”

The tight end also noted that there “might have been a few Brads and Chads that were booing,” but “for the most part everybody was f—ing screaming their tail off for her.”

Swift was joined at the game by her dad, Scott Swift, who Travis said was in “full Chiefs gear.”

Scott wore a vintage red Chiefs sweater to watch the team’s 27-17 win, with Jason, 36, commenting on the podcast that the item of clothing “looks good on him.”

“It’s a good sweater,” said Jason, who is a center for the Philadelphia Eagles. “I think his complexion really suits green more if I don’t say so myself.”

“I don’t know, it’s kind of looking really nice on him,” continued Travis. “It’s a swaggy vintage joint. He’s rocking it, man, and he seems to be enjoying himself, everybody seems to be enjoying themselves in that one right there.”

“It’s the wrong team but it’s a nice sweater!” joked Jason.

During the game, Scott was spotted sharing his daughter’s birthday cake with a group of people in the suite next door to the one Taylor was in. The pop star celebrated her 34 birthday last week surrounded by friends.

In the viral clip, shared by TikTok user Shannen Moen, Scott could be seen carrying a six-layered colorful cake into the suite and setting it down on a table. He then pointed out Taylor, who laughed and smiled through the glass divider.

Along with her dad, Taylor watched the Chiefs’ victory alongside pal Brittany Mahomes, who is married to Travis’ teammate, quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

The duo could be seen clapping and cheering throughout the game, and at one point Taylor even lifted Brittany, 28, off her feet as they celebrated a Chiefs touchdown in their luxury suite.

Writing in his new memoir, Citizen – My Life After The White House, Clinton, 78,  recalls how a media ‘feeding frenzy’ marred the handover to Bush in 2001 amid claims departing staff had vandalized the West Wing. At the time, it was said that filing cabinets were glued shut, obscene messages left on answering machines and pornographic pictures placed on office printers.

Keir Starmer declares war on benefits Britain: Prime Minister vows to crack down on £137billion welfare ‘blight’

Sir Keir Starmer today pledges to crack down hard on the ‘bulging benefits bill blighting our society’ as he tries to steal the Tories’ political clothes over abuses of the welfare system. The Prime Minister uses an article in today’s Mail on Sunday to promise ‘sweeping changes’ to try to tame the £137 billion bill for welfare benefits – including a blitz on cheats and those who ‘game the system’ – vowing: ‘No more business as usual.’ His most hardline comments yet on the issue come as Work and Pensions Secretary Liz Kendall prepares to announce a package of legislation on Tuesday to ‘get Britain working’, after officials forecast that more than four million people will be claiming long-term sickness benefits by 2030 – 60 per cent higher than before the pandemic.
