An upcoming movie in the DCU could pave the way for Keanu Reeves’ Constantine to become part of the film universe.
Keanu Reeves has earned widespread acclaim not only for his exceptional acting abilities but also for his reputation as one of the most genuinely kind and humble individuals in Hollywood. Beyond his cinematic achievements, Reeves has become a symbol of humility and just being plain nice. He will also be part of the DCU again if an upcoming DCU movie will turn out the way some theories expect.
The iconic actor is celebrated for his outstanding performances in iconic films like John Wick, Speed, The Matrix, and many others. Keanu Reeves’ impressive filmography has solidified his status as one of the most highly regarded and respected names in the business for good reason. That doesn’t mean he can’t do superhero movies either.

An Upcoming DCU Movie Could Pave The Way For Keanu Reeves’ Constantine
The DCU will begin with Superman: Legacy and there are quite a few projects in the pipeline over the next several years. One such project is Swamp Thing, which is one of three feature films with an attached director, as James Mangold joined the project in February 2023.

What’s interesting is the fact that the character, who is known for its unique and horror-inspired story, may serve as a gateway to introducing the Justice League Dark, a supernatural superhero team from DC Comics. This team specializes in handling mystical threats beyond the understanding of the Justice League of America.
Swamp Thing, a key member, might pave the way for the debut of Deadman, another character teased by James Gunn and included in the Justice League Dark’s roster. This also means that Keanu Reeves could return as Constantine in the DC live-action universe as well, should everything go right.

However, in a surprising turn of events, Keanu Reeves confirmed his return to the DC universe in 2022, nearly two decades after the original movie. Director Francis Lawrence discussed the challenges in its development during an interview with The Hollywood Reporter. Soon after, it looks like, Warner Bros. has decided to proceed with Constantine 2.
