The star looked in high spirits in the long-sleeve frock, which showcased her ample cleavage, making her way through the crowds to take her spot on the stage.

Keeping her glasses on, Mariah accessorised with a huge necklace which highlighted her chest, teaming her thin gold belt with matching gold shoes.

The superstar, who fell ill just days before the annual ceremony, took to the stage for the first time since 1989 to perform her hit Vision Of Love and new track Infinity.

Wearing a plunging, metallic dress from Yousef Al-Jasmi, the 45-year-old star left viewers less than impressed, despite looking fab on stage at the glitzy bash in Las Vegas.

Another posted on the site: “Mariah Carey’s performance on the #BBMAs was absolutely awful. infinity please stop. (sic)” Poor Mariah.

A third dramatic viewer also added: “Mariah Carey’s last note was so awful I thought the glass on my tv was gonna break.”

The star was backed by a band dressed entirely in white and tried to nail the high notes after cancelling a performance just before the Billboard Music Awards at the MGM Grand.

But she previously said rehearsals had been going well and she was looking forward to the concerts.

“It’s been mainly for me about the music and about how to incorporate the songs,” Mariah told E! News.

“Just because they were all number one records doesn’t mean they all make an easy set list…a lot of ballads and up tempos. So it’s difficult to make it work seamlessly.”
