Back to the point, Maurice Benard recently took to Instagram to announce that “It is ruined forever.”

Thankfully, he is not talking about General Hospital! But a baby orangutan that has often accompanied to the sets of GH! For those who are staring at their screens in bewilderment, let us explain. About three years ago, bang in the middle of the pandemic, Maurice’s daughter gifted him a rather unique Christmas present. A baby orangutan – a stuffed toy. The soap star fondly named it Venasa. He even brought it with him to the sets to introduce it to the cast.

Some fans will remember the funny video where Maurice told his General Hospital co-stars that she might bite. Obviously, she didn’t- because she is a toy! Er, was. And that brings us to the sad news. Maurice has once again taken to Instagram to announce that his bulldog – Vito, bit off Vanesa’s face, and she has been maimed forever. Thus, she won’t be making camera appearances anymore.
