Dua Lipa shares hilarious clip of herself struggling to sit down in her incredibly tight Schiaparelli dress during the Golden Globes

She is known to pull out all the stops for a red-carpet appearance.

And while Dua Lipa didn’t disappoint at the 81st Golden Globes on Sunday, she revealed the intense reality of what it takes to get dressed up for the LA event.

The singer, 28, shared a hilarious clip to her Instagram of her awkwardly attempting to sit in a chair after she was told to sit down in her black Schiaparelli bone gown.

Dua comedically lowered herself into her golden-coloured chair as she stayed in a slanted plank position as her waist-cinching dress was too tight to bend in.

As she awkwardly placed her arm over the back of the chair to stabilise herself, she uncomfortably smiled before puckering her lips into a pout.

In an album of snaps from the evening, the New Rules hitmaker captioned the posted: ‘Thank you @goldenglobes for such a beautiful night last night – the only thing missing was a reclining chair.’

The impractical garment boasted glittering gold detailing and a dramatic ruffled puff skirt.

She accessorised the glamorous outfit with a dazzling yellow necklace and a number of small silver hoop earrings.

During the evening, Dua was nominated for Best Original Song – Motion Picture award for her hit single Dance The Night from the Barbie movie.

But the first-time nominee lost to Billie Eilish and Finneas, who won for their emotional ‘What Was I Made For?’, also from the Barbie movie.

It comes after Dua treated her fans to a series of hilarious tipsy selfies after indulging in a boozy New Year’s Eve celebration in Jaipur, India, with her family last week.

The singer enjoyed a few too many potent cocktails as she enjoyed a raucous party to ring in 2024.

The hitmaker took to Instagram to share some snaps from the evening and told her followers she had enjoyed five negronis and was feeling silly.

She captioned the post: ‘Anyone else do this after 5 negronis? Happy 2024!!!!’

Dua looked effortlessly chic for the evening celebrations as she wowed in a chocolate brown halterneck dress.

Accentuating her slim physique, the dress featured a slit from her chest all the way down to her torso as the skirt trailed along the floor.

Dua was joined by her parents, Dukagjin and Anesa, and siblings Rina, 22, and Gjin, 18, as they posed together for a sweet family photo.

Sharing a collection of snaps from the celebrations, Dua looked like she was enjoying her negroni as she held it up for a snap with her friend.

Dua told fans that she felt ‘beyond lucky’ to take a year-end trip to India.
