10. Gotenks with Majin Buu

Not to mention Gotenks’ awesome battle with Super Buu in the Chamber of Spirit and Time. There was a battle that happened before that that many people may have forgotten. Gotenks’ fight with Fat Majin Buu felt like it was over before it even started. Gotenks did not have a chance to fight Majin Buu and his fusion time expired early.

What we need is a real rematch between them seeing as they are now allies. Hopefully Goten and Trunk have improved little by little to catch up to Majin Buu.

9. Goku vs. Hit

Honestly, Goku’s most recent battle with Universe 6’s Hit in Dragon Ball Super was one of the best fights of the series to date. It’s fun to watch Goku and the legendary time-manipulating assassin try to overpower each other using different techniques and strategies. Sadly, this war never truly ended because the battle had to end too soon.

Hopefully, Goku and Hit will have a chance to face each other again so we can see the outcome of the match.

8. Piccolo with Frieza

Piccolo’s power-up from his fusion with Nail and helping the team defeat Frieza is one of the most exciting moments in the Frieza arc of Dragon Ball Z. Of course, he can’t deal with Frieza’s third form or higher. and that’s why we need a rematch between the two.

7. Future Trunks with Goku

This may not have been an all-out battle but it was still a really fun match between the two original Super Saiyans in Dragon Ball Z. It was cool to see Future Trunks completely defeat Frieza and then try Attack Goku. Even though we all know it was just a test to test Goku’s strength.

It would be great to see Future Trunks and Goku facing each other now, especially after Future Trunks was powered up in Dragon Ball Super thanks to his battle with Goku Black and Zamasu.

6. Goku with Piccolo

This was one of the earliest true confrontations in Dragon Ball and it lasted all the way to episode one of Dragon Ball Z. Goku defeated Piccolo Daimaou before he gave birth to his son, the Piccolo we know and love. Their fight was the final battle of the original Dragon Ball series and it set the tone for the future of Dragon Ball.

Funny enough, at the start of Dragon Ball Z, Piccolo shows up with the goal of challenging Goku to a rematch and sadly that never happens. Maybe we can power up Piccolo somehow and make him fight Goku again?

5. Goku vs Vegeta

Goku and Vegeta are a familiar pair of opponents in the shounen and Dragon Ball Z genres. They actually practice and have countless rematches with each other every day. It would be great to see them use their full strength in combat like in Dragon Ball Z in the Saiyan Saga and Majin Vegeta arcs.

4. Future Trunks with completed Cell

During his battle with Cell to prevent him from achieving his perfect form, Vegeta foolishly allowed Cell to absorb Android 18 and gain maximum power. The only Saiyan strong enough to hold him back when he achieved this form was Future Trunks. However, it is still quite difficult to fight Cell even with Trunks’ Super Saiyan form

Imagine if we had the chance to see Trunks in his second Super Saiyan form in that match. We’ll be able to see how great that rematch will be.

3. Piccolo with Android 17

Piccolo’s fight with Android 17 is actually one of the most underrated fights in Dragon Ball Z. The relationship between these two happened in the Cell Saga, Piccolo merged with Kami just to fight back against 17 and Cell is one of the best parts in the anime. This rivalry is so great that it was even mentioned in Dragon Ball Super.

Although 17 has somehow gotten stronger, it would be nice to see him and Piccolo have a friendly rematch at the same power level in Dragon Ball Super now.

2. Goku with Cell complete

One of the most amazing battles was shortened and cut, with Goku and Cell continuously launching attacks at each other. The best part is when both discover each other’s secret techniques. Goku vs. Perfect Cell would be a great fight to revive in some installment of the Dragon Ball franchise.

1. Gohan with Cell completed

Unlike some of the rematches we’d like to see on this list, this match should be between current Gohan and Cell complete with hell training. We already have the chance to see Frieza and Goku fight each other again, so why can’t Gohan and Cell?
