Pick an ankle-length, high-waisted pair for a streamlined ­silhouette.

If you want extra coverage when braving leggings, add a long coat, such as a trench.

Upgraded joggers

Perhaps the easiest — and comfiest — way to get the haute athleisure look is to start with posh joggers.

Bomber jacket

The bomber has made a comeback to become the jacket of the season. It’s perfect for giving your off-duty uniform a retro sporty spin, but you should go for a polished style in a premium fabric. Mango’s leather bomber was a hit with the likes of Gigi Hadid last year, and a similar style is on sale now at £199. You could wear it with tailored trousers and loafers to the office. The boxy cut of Hush’s woollen bomber (£80) gives volume to slim joggers. Baukjen and Albaray are also worth looking at. Consider slipping a body warmer underneath. Net-a-Porter is selling a two-pack by Toteme for £70, for example. Wiser to keep it cheap and cheerful. After all, you don’t want to be heartbroken when they accidentally turn greige in the wash. Baseball cap

There’s no shortage of designer caps to choose from — every luxury label from Burberry to ­Balenciaga has done one. However, you don’t need to spend a lot.
