Adam Clay is the central character of the entire film, whose main job is to ‘protect the hive’, both literally and figuratively. He is a quiet, mysterious man who works diligently with bees every day. The drops of honey that Clay takes from his beehive will be used for extremely special and useful purposes.

Adam Clay and Mrs. Parker, who rented his house, had a close relationship. She was the only person who cared for Adam Clay, like a mother he never had. Mrs. Parker’s departure ignited the fire of hatred in Clay, causing him to return to his identity as the Beekeeper. Sticking with Adam Clay throughout his journey of revenge, the audience will understand who the Beekeeper really is.

 

Jason Statham was screenwriter Kurt Wimmer’s only choice for the role of Adam Clay. The two had the opportunity to work together in  The Expendables 4  last year. Statham talked about the new character he likes: ‘Adam Clay possesses a series of super skills. He is like a warrior protecting this society. When society cannot protect itself, he is the Beekeeper to restore balance.’

Emmy Raver Lampman vai Verona Parker 

Verona Parker – Mrs. Parker’s daughter is another important character in  the Bee Secret Service. Throughout the film, she is sometimes an opponent, sometimes an ally of Adam Clay, creating a complicated relationship with this ‘beekeeper’. Parker is a strong, intuitive FBI agent. However, those qualities were sometimes ‘invalidated’ when she had to face her mother’s death.

Throughout the film, Verona Parker always has to live in torment about her sense of justice. When the law cannot control criminals, should she give that responsibility to Adam Clay?

Lampman is one of the original cast members of the hit Broadway musical. Most recently, she appeared in Netflix’s famous series  The Umbrella Academy  . Producer Chris Long shared about Lampman: ‘She’s fresh, she’s new, she’s incredibly beautiful, and she’s always working to build a relationship with Jason Statham.’

Josh Hutcherson vai Derek Danforth

Josh Hutcherson – the ‘good guy’ Peeta of the famous  Hunger Games  series will play the main villain of  the Secret Service. Derek Danforth, 28 years old, is the heir and manager of Danforth Enterprises.

Initially, Danforth appeared as a seemingly harmless young man, always holding a skateboard to move around the office and drinking oat milk coffee. However, as the film progresses, the audience gets to see completely different sides of this young man, as well as his illegal business deals.

Hutcherson said about his interesting villain role: ‘Playing Derek was a big turning point for me. He is a truly crazy person, always immersed in money, power, and other things… Playing someone who is so confident and arrogant that no one should come in close contact is really It’s not easy, but I also find it interesting to discover another side of myself.’

Jeremy Irons vai Wallace Westwyld
