Bellingham holds Grand Theft Auto themed flag as he celebrates first trophy with Real Madrid

Jude Bellingham has won what could be the first of many trophies at Real Madrid with Los Blancos the Spanish Super Cup winners.

The England superstar has enjoyed a stunning start to life in the Spanish capital with 17 goals in 23 appearances for them, and now has silverware to add.

He didn’t add to his goalscoring stats in their clash with rivals Barcelona in the final but contributed hugely to the 4-1 thrashing in Saudi Arabia.

The opener, which was scored by Vinicius Jr, was assisted by Bellingham, who threaded the ball through a crowd in the Brazilian’s path before he rounded Barca goalkeeper Inaki Pena Sotorres before slotting home on seven minutes. This is Bellingham’s seventh Real Madrid assist.

Vinicius Jr then made it 2-0 moments later as Barcelona’s offside trap backfired.

A fine volley by Robert Lewandowski breathed new life into the contest but Real Madrid’s two-goal advantage was restored when Vinicius Jr completed his hat-trick with a penalty after he was brought down in the box.

Rodrygo rounded off the comfortable win for Carlo Ancelotti’s side with a goal on 64 minutes. The match also saw Barca man Ronald Araujo get sent off.

Alongside a series of celebration images, Bellingham posted on social media: “First trophy with the greatest club in the world! HALA MADRID!”

This is by no means the biggest trophy Bellingham will compete for in his career, but the 20-year-old midfielder made sure he enjoyed the moment.

While the Real Madrid players waited to go on stage to collect their trophies, Bellingham was seen giving a friendly slap (although it looks like it didn’t half sting) on teammate Antonio Rudiger, who is often seen playfighting Bellingham and other Los Blancos stars on the training ground.

Bellingham was also seen collecting a giant flag featured himself, Vinicius Jr and Rodrygo super-imposed in a Grand Theft Auto poster.

For Bellingham, this could be the start of a trophy-laden spell at the world’s biggest football club.

If he carries on with his form then more trophies will be inevitable as Bellingham has endeared himself to the Los Blancos faithful with his superb form.

A first career league title for Bellingham could follow as Real Madrid chase yet another LaLiga crown, although they’re currently second in the table behind surprise pace-setters Girona. However, Real Madrid have a game in hand on them and are just a point behind.

And looking beyond the season, England fans will be hoping Bellingham can take his winning experience into Euro 2024 as the Three Lions look to end their 56-year wait for a trophy to end.
