Khloe Kardashian always wants to keep the peace. The reality TV star, who shares two kids, daughter True and son Tatum, with her ex-boyfriend, NBA player Tristan Thompson, opened up about how coparenting has been going in a recent interview with tmrw magazine.

The 39-year-old media personality and the Cleveland Cavaliers player, 32, began dating in 2016 and have been through several ups and downs over the years, including multiple instances of infidelity on Thompson’s part.
Despite trying to patch things up in the past, the two are solely coparents now, and Kardashian is determined to prioritize her kids and their upbringing over any harsh feelings she may have toward the athlete.
“I had to learn to take control of my feelings. There were so many times that my feelings got control of me and I was impulsive and I tweeted something or posted something and things that you regret,” she said. “Do I have days I want to be a petty b—-? Of course! But I sort of do that privately.”
The Good American cofounder knows that she will look back and never regret her decision to be nice and keep her ex around all the time as a father to her kids.
“With me and Tristan, would it be really easy to never talk to him again and to just badmouth him or whatever? Of course,” she continued. “It’s way harder to be nice. It’s way harder when you’re really mad at someone, it’s really hard to sit in their face in front of your kids and be like, ‘Hi!’ Trust me, that’s not how I feel every day.”
Kardashian found out Thompson had been cheating on her 48 hours before their daughter was born in 2018. In December 2021, Kardashian got word—from the internet—that he was in the midst of a paternity lawsuit with a trainer who welcomed a son that month, after Kardashian and Thompson had already reconciled and hired a surrogate for their second baby.
Since then, the two have kept it strictly platonic and all about the kids. They maintain a positive relationship, as seen on Season 2 of The Kardashians, and after Thompson’s mother passed away last January, Kardashian took Thompson’s younger brother, Amari, into their home and has cared for him.
