A determined lady named Chukwuma Blessing who got pregnant and gave birth while studying has bagged a Computer Science degree with first-class honors at the Federal University of Technology, Nigeria.
Blessing obtained her bachelor’s degree in Computer Science with first-class honors at the Federal University of Technology Akure Nigeria. Narrating her story on Twitter, she stated that she got pregnant in her second year at the university.
She stated that she got no financial support from her parents or family but with determination and hard work, she was able to graduate with a first-class honors grade. Blessing said though her journey was challenging it was worth it in the end.
”I’m a single mom who got pregnant in my 200Level. Even though I had no financial support from family, I still graduated with a first class degree. My journey wasn’t easy, but it was worth it,’ she said.
She mentioned that in the middle of all her challenges, she still was able to start two businesses which she juggled with her studies. ”In the middle of this, I still started two businesses, first “Just Popcorn” and “Just Cool Cream,” and it’s been a great journey,” she said.
Blessing stated that being a student of the Federal University of Techn ology Akure studying Computer Science is already tough enough but regardless, she stood strong because she had no supporters.
”Being in FUTA, and in Computer Science is already tough enough, regardless, I knew no one was coming to help me. All I had was God. He stood by me, and even though I’m tired many times, His strength upheld me, and here I am, TWICE AS TALL,” she said.
Blessing stated that she hope her story inspires others who face similar challenges like hers that whatever they put their heart into, they will achieve.
