Tyson Fury will lose 10 million pounds if he once again withdraws from the confrontation with Oleksandr Usyk

Tyson Fury will have no choice but to face Oleksandr Usyk no matter what happens if he doesn’t want to lose huge amounts of money.

Accordingly, the Fury-Usyk fight was rescheduled for May 18 in Saudi Arabia after reigning WBC heavyweight champion Fury (34-0-1, 24 KOs) suffered a serious eye injury. The severity forced him to withdraw from the match.

Saudi billionaire Turki Al Sheikh, the main investor in the event, has added a clause of a £10m fine for any champion if they withdraw. This puts great pressure on both boxers, especially Fury as he is still recovering from injury. Many fans believe that “The Gypsy King” wants to avoid a clash with IBF/WBA/WBO champion Usyk (21-0, 14 KOs), but now that will be almost impossible.

The £10 million penalty clause has pushed Fury into a corner. If Fury’s real reason for withdrawing from his February 17 fight with Usyk is that he was beaten by most of his training partners, and felt that he needed more time, then Fury certainly will. in big trouble if nothing changes. More than 2 more months are unlikely to change anything and the match with Usyk may be Fury’s last match.

The WBC champion’s biggest problem is his age. “The Gypsy King” has been in the ring for many years, combined with the time he had health problems that forced him to stop competing for several years, and he was no longer at his peak.

There are many doubts as to whether Tyson Fury is truly committed to the Usyk fight. Most people believe that Fury has been avoiding the Usyk fight for years, and the only reason he took this fight was because Saudi Arabian investors threw him a huge amount of money that he couldn’t refuse.
