SIR Alex Ferguson has slashed £250,000 off the price of his luxury mansion as he seeks a wealthy buyer.
The legendary former Manchester United boss, 82, put the £3.5m property in Wilmslow, Cheshire, on the market following the death of his wife Cathy.

His five-bedroom home comes complete with a stylish open plan kitchen and games room.
But after struggling to shift the property, he reduced the price to £3.25m last week in a bid to offload it.
Photos of the property also reveal a dazzling hallway chandelier, en-suite bathrooms and perfectly manicured lawns.
The games room is decorated with art work, oak bookcases and a snooker table while a unique ‘Ferguson clan’ tartan carpet features on the staircase.
Estate agents acting on his behalf said: “This impressive, deceptively spacious detached property is situated on one of Cheshire’s most desirable roads.”
Ferguson, who also managed Aberdeen, moved to a £1.2m house near to his son Darren so he could be closer to his grandchildren in the village of Goostrey, Cheshire.
Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers, 51, is also trying to shift a property on the same road as Ferguson.
He put his mansion up for sale with a £4.2m price tag which was reduced to £4m last month.
It comes with five bedrooms, a gym, landscaped gardens, a double garage and a bar area as well as CCTV, underfloor heating and speakers in the ceilings.
Ferguson was manager at Old Trafford from 1986 to 2013 after a spell managing teams in Scotland, including Aberdeen, St Mirren, as well as the national team.
He won 38 trophies at Man Utd including 13 Premier League titles, two Champions League finals and five FA Cups.
