Ten Hag has a lot on his plate at the moment with his future at United up in the air.
The Red Devils face a MASSIVE week with their last swing at silverware taking place on Wednesday.
United travel to face Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup fifth round with Ten Hag looking to keep the cup dream alive after crashing out of the Champions League and Carabao Cup already this season.
While a Premier League title is well out of reach for the Manchester giants who sit 16 points of league leaders Liverpool.
Their unbeaten start to 2024 came to a painful end with a 2-1 loss at home to Fulham on Saturday.
And things are only getting trickier for the Prem’s sixth placed team with the short trip to face fierce rivals Man City up next in the league.
Sunday’s derby could prove crucial for 54-year-old Ten Hag with question marks over his long-term future prominent since the completion of Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s £1.03bn takeover.
The British billionaire is taking over footballing operations at the club and rumours are swirling about potential replacements if things turn sour with Ten Hag.
Alongside his deep pockets Ratcliffe has brought optimism about the future to the Theatre of Dreams, but that could be a future without Ten Hag at the helm.
However the former Ajax gaffer has called for those growing frustrated with his management to look at the bigger picture.
Speaking after United’s disappointing loss to Fulham, he said: “After one defeat, you have to see the bigger picture and it looks very good.
“We have to catch up in certain positions, cut the injuries back, we will have more balance.
“Also strengthen the squad in the windows, you see there are many good players, real high potential players, so they will be getting better and better.
“We are definitely going in the right direction, when we have the squad available we have a very good team.”7Man Utd suffered their first defeat of 2024 on Saturday
