The former Man Utd star couldn’t hold back his tears on the day he returned to play for his old team.

 Chicharito returned to his hometown of Mexico to play football for the Chivas club. “Welcome back Javier ‘Chicharito’ Hernandez,” the club’s homepage briefly announced.

 The 35-year-old striker grew up at the Chivas youth academy, then joined the first team from 2006 to 2010. 

 After 14 years of figҺting in many different tournaments, “Little Pea” finally returned to a familiar destination.

 Yesterday, Chivas held a launch ceremony for Chicharito. He received a warm welcome from the crowd of fans. 

 This is Chicharito’s emotional return day. 

 In a moment, the former Man Utd striker burst into tears. He was touched because he received so much love from everyone around him.

 Chicharito has been unemployed since November 2023 after parting ways with LA Galaxy. The Mexican star has not played since May last year due to a cruciate ligament ιnjury.

 Chicharito had interest from other teams in MLS, Europe and the Middle East, but felt no offer was as attractive as a return to Guadalajara, the city where he grew up.

 Chicharito has had a relatively successful career. He has played for many clubs in Europe such as Man Utd, Real Madrid, Sevilla, West Ham and Bayer Leverkusen. 

 The most brilliant achievement in Chicharito’s career was when he and the Red Devils won the Premier League twice.
