Ryan Reynolds Transforming into a Younger Marvel Character in Deadpool 3, Sporting Long Hair and Top Knot on Set with Hugh Jackman.

Ryan Reynolds sported long hair and a top knot as he played a younger version of his Deadpool character on the set of the latest instalment of the Marvel movie in the UK on Thursday.

The actor, 47, showed off his long brunette locks as he continued filming Deadpool 3 in the south of England.

American star Ryan wore more chiselled version of his character’s famous red suit as he portrayed Wade Wilson, also known as Deadpool.

In the scene, young Deadpool comes face to face with an older and very different version of himself, played by a stunt double, with a bald head and a face covered in prosthetic wrinkles and scars.

Between scenes Ryan wrapped up warm in a baggy navy blue coat in a bid to protect himself from the near-freezing weather.

Ryan was accompanied by Australian actor Hugh Jackman, 55, who plays Wolverine in the film.

Hugh, who last played Wolverine in 2017’s Logan, was seen wearing the his character’s yellow and blue suit.

Deadpool 3 began filming last year but had to take a four-month break from July to November due to the US actor’s strike.

Production of the film is believed to have been relocated to the UK so Ryan can manage his commitments with his team Wrexham FC.

Last month, images from the filming of Deadpool 3 revealed another major X-Men cameo is set to occur in the upcoming movie.

Fans were sent into meltdown when it was revealed Hugh would be reprising his role as Wolverine for the film, starring alongside Ryan’s titular antihero.

Pictures – taken on set last month before the actors strike ground filming to a temporary halt – revealed he isn’t the only mutant to be making a comeback.

Wolverine is set to take on one of his greatest nemesis’ with Sabretooth (Victor Creed) seen filming scenes on a British beach with the pair.

X-Men fans will remember Sabretooth from the first movie, having failed in his attempts to thwart Wolverine.

It’s not clear if Tyler Maine will reprise his role or if it has been recast.

In the third film, Deadpool will use Cable’s time travel machine to save Wolverine before his death in 2029 and they will end up lost in the Multiverse.

While they are in the Multiverse they will be pursued by Mobius, who has access to time-travel technology.

Among those set to star in the film is The Crown’s Emma Corrin, who will play a villain in the blockbuster.

Ryan tweeted: ‘New addition to the family! The Deadpool family, for clarity. Which is just like a real family except with less swearing… Welcome, Emma Corrin!’

The day after Ryan announced that Hugh would return as the late Wolverine, the pair sat down for a faux fan Q&A.

‘I had a lot of questions. I’m sure you had a lot of questions. But rest assured, we’re going to answer them right now,’ Hugh promised.

Ryan clarified that Logan was set in 2029 and it was a ‘totally separate thing’ – hinting it might involve the MCU multi-verse

‘Logan died in Logan. Not touching that,’ Ryan stated. ‘What actually happens in our film is these two f***ing guys get out there and just like…’

Ryan and Hugh’s characters Wade Wilson and Logan already battled in Gavin Hood’s 2009 movie X-Men Origins: Wolverine, which earned $373.1M at the box office
