Wembanyama played just 21 minutes in the blowout loss and finished with 13 points, five rebounds and four assists. However, he has established himself as the frontrunner for Rookie of the Year with averages of 20.7 points, 10.4 rebounds, 3.5 assists, a league-high 3.4 blocks and 1.3 steals.

The 20-year-old was viewed as a generational prospect entering the 2023 draft, and he’s shown flashes of dominance despite his youth.
