Developed and constructed in 2018, the residence was formerly under the ownership of Ryan Kavanaugh, a film producer and the founder of Relativity Media. Initially, the property was offered for $25 million. According to Dirt, Kavanaugh reportedly decreased the selling price to $17.5 million prior to Leonard finalizing the transaction by purchasing the property for $17 million.
