At the end of April, Stone sat down with The Hollywood Reporter alongside Nathan Fielder to talk about their project The Curse. Stone revealed that she actually prefers being called her real name, Emily, rather than her stage name, Emma.

“When I get to know them, people that I work with do [call me Emily],” she said. “It’s just because my name was taken [by another actress in SAG]. Then I freaked out a couple of years ago. For some reason, I was like, ‘I can’t do it anymore. Just call me Emily.’ Nathan calls me Em, which is easier.”

She also spoke about how she chooses projects now. “Gut instinct is the only way I’ve really ever decided anything with work,” she said. “At the beginning, you’re trying to just work as an actor, and so you take jobs and things. Now I’m just drawn to something. It’s an impossible thing to describe. I just want to do it. And then once I want to do something, I can’t think about anything else. So there’s no real rhyme or reason to it.”
