Groom discovers his new bride is a man 12 days after their wedding when ‘wife’ kept putting off consummating marriage

A SHOCKED groom found out his bride was in fact a MAN almost two weeks after tying the knot.

The stunned man, known by an alias AK, dated his spouse Adinda Kanza for a year after meeting on Instagram.

After a year, they wed – but she put off consummating their marriage by saying she was feeling unwell.

Adinda would also wear a traditional Muslim niqab that covered her entire face whenever they met in person.

But AK, from Indonesia, reportedly took that as a sign of his partner’s devotion to Islam.

The couple, both 26, had a small and intimate ceremony on April 12 at AK’s home after Adinda revealed she didn’t have any family left.

But the groom soon began growing suspicious as his bride would avoid intimate moments, saying she was feeling unwell or on her period, the South China Morning Post reports.

Twelve days after their wedding, AK hunted for Adinda’s previous address after she reportedly refused to speak to his family and insisted on wearing her niqab at home.

That was when AK not only found out that Adinda’s parents were alive and well, but was told that his bride was actually a man.

They were reportedly unaware that their son, identified as ESH, was in a relationship, let alone married.

ESH has now been arrested by police.

Unconfirmed local reports claim ESH told cops he intended to marry AK to steal his family’s assets.

The man now faces fraud charges that could see him behind bars for up to four years.

According to the police, Adinda had feminine behaviour, voice and looks, especially when wearing makeup.

They said: “If you look at their wedding photos, Adinda looks exactly like a real woman.

“He also has a gentle voice and tone, so there was no suspicion at all about him being a woman.”

The investigation is ongoing.
