Kourtney Kardashian didn’t attend her mom’s annual Thanksgiving dinner and instead hosted her own, with an insider believing it’s due to her reluctance for them to meet her son
Thanksgiving can sometimes bring family drama – and the Kardashian family is no exception.
Kourtney Kardashian didn’t attend her mom Kris Jenner’s annual Thanksgiving celebration. Instead of spending time with her sisters at Kris’ Palm Springs mansion, it appears she chose to host her own holiday dinner.
Guests included her newborn baby Rocky Thirteen Barker, her husband Travis Barker, and his children Alabama Barker and Landon Barker. It’s unclear if Kourtney’s kids that she shares with her ex-partner Scott Disick – Mason, 13, Penelope, 11, and Reign, eight – were in attendance.

Kourtney shared a photo on her Instagram Story of her dining room table set for Thanksgiving dinner. There appeared to be eight white placemats set up that included gold-colored silverware, grey napkins, and crystal glasses.
In the middle of the table was a white table runner and various lit candles surrounding a bouquet of fall-colored flowers. Another photo on Kourtney’s story showed one dessert option was pumpkin pie while Alabama’s Instagram Story showed a tray of Mac and Cheese.
A source told the US Sun that Kourtney might not have celebrated the day with her sisters because they haven’t been “invited” to meet her youngest child yet. It was recently revealed that Kourtney gave birth earlier this month.
“Kourtney is going to be introducing the new baby to her family on an ‘invite-only’ basis,” said the source, “[Kourtney] and Travis have communicated that they will be taking ‘family only’ time for the newly blended family and for Kourt to rest, and then they will be inviting the extended family over on an individual basis.”
Kourtney’s family hasn’t met her new baby
Supposedly, Kourtney’s reasoning for keeping her family at bay is to keep Rocky from getting sick, but there could be an ulterior motive. “Kourtney has said it’s a germs thing – to protect the baby and not expose him to any risk – but it’s, like, part of her new strategy to keep everyone at arm’s length,” said the source.
The insider also wondered what the order would be that Kourtney’s family would meet her new baby. “So now everyone’s talking about where Kim will be on the list. Obviously, Kris will be first – but who is going to get the second invite?” they said.
While Kris herself didn’t share any photos of Thanksgiving day, her Instagram Story included a poem by Holly Chester about being thankful. Kris wrote: “Thankful. Wishing everyone a happy Thanksgiving.”
