Courageous Monkey Group Joins Forces to Battle Crocodiles and Rescue Fellow

The monkeys teamed up and bravely fought the crocodile

Witnessing their fellow humans being attacked, dozens of baboons joined forces to fight the dangerous enemy.

Crocodiles are known as the king of the swamp because of their ability to dominate shallow water, making most animals afraid to confront them. However, crocodiles are not always successful in taking down their prey.

A video recorded by tourists shows a group of baboons fighting and winning a battle for survival with crocodiles – the number 1 most dangerous enemy at Kwando Ecological Park (South Africa).

The video begins with a baboon struggling desperately in the middle of a river. Its hind legs were clamped in the teeth of a crocodile. On the shore is a group of monkeys with at least 10 members standing and observing every move.

It seemed like the unfortunate monkey would die before the “swamp king”. But with extraordinary and tireless efforts, it crawled step by step towards shore hoping to be rescued by the herd.

Not living up to expectations, the monkeys immediately rushed forward. They continuously scratched and bit to put pressure on the crocodile, and at the same time pulled the injured monkey out of the dangerous area.

Faced with so many monkeys, the crocodile knew it couldn’t cope, so it had to go back into the water.

Many comments on the video said that the monkey was too lucky to have help from his fellow humans. Otherwise, it will almost certainly perish before its enemies.

According to news, crocodiles are one of the animals with the strongest bite force on Earth, second only to white sharks.

Among them, saltwater crocodiles have the most terrifying bite, with a measured force of 3700 PSI per square inch, or 16,460 Newtons. This number is 3.5 times greater than the bite force of a lion, and 25 times greater than that of a human. The bite force of a great white shark is 4000 PSI.

With such bite force, crocodiles can easily crush the victim’s bones and flesh, leaving them seriously injured and unable to run away.

Normally, after using its powerful bite, the crocodile will drag the victim into the river to drown until suffocation. Then, to tear the bait, the crocodile grabbed the meat tightly and turned around many times.

Using this tactic, they can take down large prey such as cows, buffaloes, sharks and even humans in an instant. As for medium-sized prey such as monkeys, antelopes, zebras… they have almost no chance of surviving when confronting them.
