The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) and Devon Hamilton-Winters (Bryton James) are trying to find a path forward after years of conflict. It’s been a long time since Devon and Nate were truly on good terms due to all the betrayals and hard feelings they’ve dealt with.

Of course, Nate and Devon’s love triangle with Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) was a factor in why things first fell apart between them.

Devon also cost Nate his medical future after decking him and causing a hand injury that ended his surgical career.

That ultimately led to Nate getting involved in the business world, which also gave Nate a chance to clash with Devon at Chancellor-Winters and betray the family.

Nate tried to help Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) with a takeover scheme, so it’s easy to see why there’s been bad blood.

However, Nate’s on the verge of returning to Chancellor-Winters in part thanks to Mamie Johnson’s (Veronica Redd) push for family unity.

It looks like Nate, Devon and Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) could genuinely find the road back to peace.

Naturally, that’s exactly when Y&R writers may blow things up again! Soaps are all about drama, so it won’t be very entertaining if Devon and Nate start getting along permanently.

The show has a great opportunity for another cheating scandal since Abby Newman-Abbott (Melissa Ordway) has a romantic history with Nate.

As Abby helps Nate and Devon on their path toward being a real family again, she might find herself growing closer to Nate in the process.

It could lead to old feelings bubbling back up on both sides, which could set the stage for Nate and Abby to cheat.

It certainly wouldn’t be the first time either one of them surrendered to temptation and betrayed a partner.

Devon and Abby’s relationship has been swimming along just fine for a while now, so they’re long overdue for some obstacles.

If Abby hooks up with Nate or even has a full-blown affair with him, that could change everything.

It might be enough to end Devon’s romance if he finds out what Abby did.

Likewise, furious Devon might cut Nate out of his life for good this time if he faces another betrayal like this.
