Evidence that Blackpink has not ended their contract with YG

Korean media reported that on November 28, YG Entertainment updated the profiles of entertainment artists on the company’s official page. On this list is the group Blackpink.

Specifically, YG Entertainment Company has removed the profiles of male singers G-Dragon and Taeyang from the artist introduction section on the company’s official website.

This did not surprise the public because previously, YG Company confirmed that G-Dragon was no longer an artist of the company in October this year.

The time the company released this statement was also the time the male idol’s suspected drug use scandal broke out. In this announcement, YG confirmed that the Big Bang member’s exclusive contract with YG ended in June and the male idol did not renew the contract.

That means the former leader of Big Bang no longer has any connection with the company.

Taeyang also moved to join The Black Label – in December 2022.

However, one thing that catches attention is that YG still keeps the group name Blackpink on its website.

YG once again confirmed that the members are in the process of negotiating even though the previous contract expired in August.

Previously, there was a lot of debate about Blackpink disbanding after their contract with YG ended.

Accordingly, many suspicions show that Jennie established her own company, Lisa signed a contract with an American record label.

However, in the end, both Blackpink and YG have not yet made any official statements about whether to renew the contract or not.
