Ahem: Billie Eilish and Olivia Rodrigo Are the Last ‘Saturday Night Live’ Musical Guests of 2023

Well, yes, your Spotify Wrapped top artists *are* making their way back to Saturday Night Live this holiday season. After Tate McRae’s knockout SNL debut, the beloved variety show announced its next round of performers for its last two episodes of the year on social media. Live from New York, it’s Billie Eilish and Olivia Rodrigo (!!!).

Olivia—who made her own SNL debut with performances of “Drivers License” and “Good 4 U” in 2021—is set to perform with Adam Driver as host.

Meanwhile, Billie is in for a mini Barbie reunion as Weird Barbie/SNL alum Kate McKinnon makes her return to Studio 8H on December 16. Billie first appeared as a musical guest in 2019 with performances of her Grammy-winning megahit, “Bad Guy” and “All the Good Girls Go to Hell.” In 2021, she served double duty as host and musical guest in support of her album Happier Than Ever.

Love this for O-Rod and Billie, who are constantly supporting and uplifting each other in their (insanely successful!) careers. In a recent interview with The Los Angeles Times, Billie revealed that her song “Goldwing” was inspired by Olivia’s meteoric rise to fame in 2021.

“I do feel a protectiveness over Olivia,” she told the outlet. “I have a song called ‘Goldwing’ from my last album that’s kind of about her. I’ve never said that to anyone. It’s not only about her. I was just thinking about her when I was writing it. She was coming up, and she was younger than me, and nobody had ever been younger than me.”

“Olivia was getting big, and she was just, like, this little dainty child. I felt so nervous,” Billie added. “I was worried about her. She came up in that acting world, and people are so weird. I don’t know—I just felt very protective over her. And I feel that way to everyone.”

There are no deets on their respective SNL performances just yet, but there’s a chance O-Rod will perform “Vampire” or “Get Him Back!”—unless she wants to pull a Lucy Gray Baird and perform her Hunger Games hit, “Can’t Catch Me Now.” Billie, on the other hand, will likely turn to her Grammy-nominated Barbie track, “What Was I Made For?” and perhaps… a surprise drop of a new song? 👀

Neither artist has confirmed their SNL set since the announcement was made, but either way, they’re going to close off the year with some bangers.
