Dallas Mavericks head coach Jason Kidd went viral on Tuesday night following his team’s 121-115 victory over the Houston Rockets. Kidd was unquestionably annoyed about a question relating to the duo of Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving.
The current coach and former player dropped some NSFW language in his response while also imploring the media to “write positive stuff,” stating that “people will read your positive s***.”

JASON KIDD: "I'm giving you a f***** answer. It's alright to write positive stuff. People will read your positive s***. You don't always have to be negative. The world is already negative enough. Let's see some positive stuff on positive people…" pic.twitter.com/hAzOqF55Ld

The day after Kidd’s response took the internet by storm, one player who defended the coach was Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James.
The 38-year-old superstar stated that for Kidd to curse, “you know he wasn’t happy at all,” while adding that the coach was heated “and quite frankly right” in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter.
For J to curse you know he wasn't happy at all! I don't think I ever heard him curse. I mean from competing vs him, teamming up with him and playing for him. Never! He was HOT and quite frankly RIGHT!! Love J Kidd! https://t.co/4PGTniEPlH

James isn’t wrong, as Kidd is typically fairly even-keeled while speaking with the media. While he’s certainly been a bit agitated before, this response was far from the norm for the Mavericks coach and grabbed plenty of attention partially due to that fact.
