Taylor Swift tops People’s 2023 Most Intriguing People of the Year list.
The 12-time Grammy-award winner, 33, has been in the spotlight for over 17 years since breaking into the industry as a teen.
Taylor is currently on a three-month break from her hugely successful Eras Tour.
Her concert film Taylor Swift The Eras Tour was screened throughout the fall beginning October 13 and will drop of streaming services on December 13.
The concert film shattered records, becoming the biggest concert film debut of all time, with $92.8 million in sales for the first weekend, per People.
The star has released 4 re-recordings of her music catalog after the head of her former label Big Machine Records sold them to Scooter Braun (without her knowledge) – in a bid to own her own music – which has has written herself.
She released Fearless Taylor’s Version in April 2021, Red Taylor’s Version in November 2021, Speak Now Taylor’s Version in July 2023 and 1989 Taylor’s Version in October 2023.
The last two albums left she plans on releasing as a re-recording is Reputation and her self titled debut album Taylor’s Version.
She has not yet announced the release dates.
In 2018, Taylor signed with the Universal Music Group label Republic Records, where she released Lover in 2019, Folklore in 2020 and Evermore in 2020.
‘She never really stops writing songs. I’ve spent a lot of time with her, and I’ve never seen anyone wait on her. When I have stayed at her house, Taylor herself was cooking everyone breakfast and dinner. She’s legitimately just a very down to earth and hard-working person,’ Aaron Dessner, who has worked with Taylor on her albums Folklore and Evermore, said.
‘She knows when, where, how to promote [her work] but also she knows when, where, how to be normal and be a human just living her life. I think she has brilliantly navigated that line,’ Tim McGraw said of Taylor.
Taylor is in a relationship with Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, 34.
Travis, who was raised in Ohio, and Taylor’s rumored romance was confirmed on Sunday, September 24 – after she attended her first Chiefs game – as they took on the Chicago Bears.
It’s not clear exactly when the two began seeing each other in person, but Travis had revealed on his July 26th New Heights podcast episode that he had hoped to introduce himself to Taylor when he attended one of her Eras Tour stops.
He attended night two of her Eras tour stop in Kansas City – July 8th – while in a suite.
‘I was disappointed that she doesn’t talk before or after her shows because she has to save her voice for the 44 songs that she sings, so I was a little butt-hurt I didn’t get to hand her one of the bracelets I made for her,’ he said.
Taylor amped up the budding courtship at the Sunday, September 24th game when she arrived alone — aside from her usual bodyguards — to cheer on Travis from a box.
Their relationship continues to go from strength to strength, with Taylor most recently attending his football game on Sunday, December 3 against the Green Bay Packers.
