Taylor Swift is heading back to New York City, cutting short her weeks-long stay in Kansas City with boyfriend Travis Kelce.

DailyMail.com spotted the pop star boarding her private jet under the cover of umbrellas Tuesday morning – on Travis’s day off – after spending the previous week with her beau.

While Swift’s sudden dash home appears to come out of the blue, the star has been nominated for TIME Magazine’s Person of the Year – with the winner to be announced on Wednesday morning.

DailyMail.com spotted the pop star boarding her private jet under the cover of umbrellas Tuesday morning – on Travis’s day off – after spending the previous week with her beau.

While Swift’s sudden dash home appears to come out of the blue, the star has been nominated for TIME Magazine’s Person of the Year – with the winner to be announced on Wednesday morning.

Some fans speculated that the multi-Grammy award winner had to be in New York to film for the Today Show, which announced the finalists on Monday.

Swift, who hadn’t been back to her luxury penthouse apartment since finishing the South American leg of her Eras Tour, is battling it out against the likes of Barbie, Vladimir Putin and King Charles III.

But she returned there Tuesday afternoon following her flight. Within an hour she went to the Dogpound gym a few blocks away to work out.

She flew straight from Sao Paolo to Kansas City to be with Travis, before jetting to London and back in 24 hours to appear at Beyonce‘s Renaissance movie premiere.

Handlers were seen loading her bags on the plane, despite her plans to stay in Kansas City for the next few weeks

Swift landed at Morristown Airport in New Jersey and was whisked away in her three-car motorcade

Staff carried her luggage into her New York apartment. Within an hour of reaching home, Taylor had gone to the Dogpound gym to work out

The pair are expected to shack up in the Midwest for the next few weeks while Taylor is on a two-month break from her international Eras Tour.

It is unclear if Swift will be returning to Kansas City before her 34th birthday on December 13, or if the Chiefs tight end will join her in New York for celebrations.

Travis was seen leaving his house on Monday morning around 11:30 am in his Rolls Royce where he stopped by the drive-thru at McLain’s market to order a breakfast sandwich and cold drink.

He then drove off to the Chiefs training facility before arriving back home at 4pm. This coming Sunday the Chiefs play the Buffalo Bills in KC.

On Saturday he flew with his teammates to Green Bay.

A day later, his girlfriend made the 90-minute flight to snowy Wisconsin, where she watched the Chiefs lose to the Green Bay Packers.

Taylor returned to Kansas City around 1am on Monday where she reunited with Travis.

Taylor had left her tour and touched down in Kansas City last week and the star headed straight for her love’s new luxury pad.

A source at the time told DailyMail.com, ‘Taylor’s still smitten with Travis. But she realizes that the hard work in their relationship is about to start as they will be spending weeks at a time together.

‘Up until now it has been time snatched as they both have had such busy schedules.’

They have done everything they can in those snatched moments – she has npw watched him play in the NFL five times, he flew 5,400 miles to Buenos Aires, Argentina, to see her in concert, and they appeared on Saturday Night Live together.

‘Obviously those aren’t the things that a regular new couple would do in their first months together,’ said the source.

‘But now Taylor and Travis can try to be as normal as their lives allow them to be.

‘They finally have the time and opportunity to spend some for real quality time together.’

Taylor was seen settling in last week, and paid a visit to BFF Brittany Mahomes at the mansion she shares with quarterback husband Patrick.

Last week the couple got into the Christmas spirit early as they joined quarterback the Mahomeses for a festive bash on Friday night.

It was Green Bay coach Matt LaFleur who first claimed that the pop sensation would be in the stands for Sunday’s game.

‘Is she supposed to be here? That’s what I’ve heard. So we’ll see,’ he said on Friday.

‘That’s just part of it, we’re definitely more focused on the game. But I’m sure there’ll be some fired up people in the stands if she shows up.’

She has already been to Arrowhead Stadium three times and also headed to MetLife Stadium to watch the Chiefs face the New York Jets.
