This accolade adds to Mahomes’ illustrious career, featuring two NFL MVP titles, two Super Bowl MVP awards, and five Pro Bowl selections.

Beyond his athletic achievements, Mahomes stands out for his commitment to community service, evident in his nomination for the Walter Payton Man of the Year Award.

Expressing his gratitude, Mahomes, a father of two, emphasized the significance of providing opportunities and support to underserved youth.

“As a dad of two, it means the world to me to be able to provide opportunities and support to underserved youth, and my family and I are so humbled to be in the running for an award that means so much to the Chiefs organization and to our community,” Mahomes confirmed in a written statement.

Reflecting on the impact of the “15 and the Mahomies” Foundation, Mahomes highlighted its growth.

“It’s crazy to see the way 15 and the Mahomies has grown and continues to make more and more of a difference for kids here in Kansas City, across Texas and beyond,” he concluded.

Founded in 2019, the foundation focuses on improving the lives of children with an emphasis on health, wellness, and supporting communities in need. To date, it has distributed over $4 million in grants and programs.

Notably, the “Volunteer for 15” program, initiated on May 1, surpassed its goal of 15,000 volunteer hours, with youth contributing nearly 23,000 hours to the local community.
