For those who don’t have $6,000 to splash on a trip to Antarctica, one globetrotter has offered some motivation to start saving through a series of inspirational TikToks.
Jordan Egbert took a voyage down south with his wife and he filmed part of his adventure to offer travelers a taste of what they can expect, with everything from polar plunges to a stop at the southernmost post office on the itinerary.
In one clip, the TikTok creator tells viewers: ‘The first thing that you have to keep in mind is this is the most remote place on the planet and it’s not easy to get to.
‘The best way is by ship and most sailing starts in Ushuaia, Argentina… After two days of sailing you make it to the white continent when you arrive the wildlife is absolutely insane, like orca and humpback whales [and], of course, penguins everywhere.’

In Jordan’s footage, dozens of penguins can be seen waddling around, while pods of whales casually swim alongside the expedition ship.
To get to different locations during the day, Jordan reveals that passengers get off the main ship to ride around in smaller zodiac boats.
These can navigate ‘ice, snow and glaciers’ and they can also make landings to allow travelers to ‘get up close and personal with the cutest animals on the planet.’
Jordan said his voyage, which he made with the U.S.-based company Polar Latitudes, included a stop at Port Lockroy, which is the world’s southernmost post office.
While offering viewers a tour of the far flung base, he explains: ‘You can actually mail letters from here and they call it the “penguin post office” because penguins run this place.’
Cutting to one of his meal times on the ship, Jordan said the food at sea was much better than he was expecting.
The price of the voyage included all meals and soft drinks.
To work off the feed, Jordan said he took part in various activities including ‘kayaking through the ice’ and a polar plunge.
Along with Port Lockroy, Jordan’s Antarctic adventure included stops in the Falkland Islands and South Georgia.
The avid traveler reveals at the end of one TikTok that a 12-day trip to Antarctica with Polar Latitudes starts from $6,000 per person.
The price then increases when it comes to longer voyages and ‘nicer rooms.’
While it’s a hefty sum to pay, Jordan says ‘considering this is a once-in-a-lifetime trip, it is well worth it in my opinion.’
Some viewers agreed with this sentiment.
One commenter wrote: ‘$6,000 is nothing to be able to touch a freaking PENGUINNN. I would die… their little wobbles.’
Another added: ‘I was expecting much more than $6000 after you described it!’
