Dwayne Johnson surprises his mother Ata with a new Cadillac for Christmas in a heartwarming Instagram video

Dwayne Johnson shared some Christmas cheer with his 284 million Instagram followers on Saturday, revealing he gifted his mother Ata a brand new Cadillac.

The 49-year-old actor shared a video and several photos on Instagram, showing him surprising his 73-year-old mother with a pristine white Cadillac CT5.

The action star’s daughters Jasmine, 6, and Tiana, 3, were also there for the surprise reveal, which left his mother in shock.

The video features The Rock covering his mother’s eyes, as his daughters start the countdown and say ‘Merry Christmas!’

Johnson removes his hand from his mother’s eyes as she sees the brand new car, with a red bow, as Ata covered her mouth in shock.

She went over to give her son a hug, and then towards the camera, as Elvis Presley’s Can’t Help Falling In Love is heard playing.

Ata then went over to the person filming the video, possibly Johnson’s oldest daughter Simone, 20, who is heard saying, ‘Merry Christmas grammy!’

Johnson said in the caption of his post, ‘This one felt good. Surprised my mom with a new car for Christmas today.’

‘She was shocked. She got a few good ugly cries in. Then once her grand babies joined her inside the car. She was overcome with pure joy joy,’ Johnson said.

Grammy: Ata then went over to the person filming the video, possibly Johnson’s oldest daughter Simone, 20, who is heard saying, ‘Merry Christmas grammy!

Felt good: Johnson said in the caption of his post, ‘This one felt good. Surprised my mom with a new car for Christmas today’

He added that his dog Hobbs (presumably named after his Fast & Furious franchise character Luke Hobbs), ‘wanted to peep the whip with his new Christmas chicken.’

‘I’m so grateful I can do this kinda stuff for my mom, who’s had one helluva life. I don’t take any of it for granted. Neither does she,’ Johnson added.

‘Merry Christmas ma, enjoy your new ride!!! And your Elvis records. We love you. You deserve a lot more ~ dj,’ Johnson concluded.

Johnson has had a big year in 2021 with hit movies Jungle Cruise and Red Notice, his first foray into rap with his single Face Off and his NBC series Young Rock.

He’ll next be seen on the big screen in Warner Bros.’ new DC Comics adventure Black Adam, hitting theaters July 29.
