Kim Kardashian is facing backlash for taking her daughter North, nine, to the Jean Paul Gaultier fashion show in Paris last week.
At the show North went viral for scribbling ‘STOP’ across her invitation while sitting front row next to her mother – as she was fed up with ‘people taking pictures of her,’ rather than focusing ‘on the show,’ according to Kim’s Instagram.
And now fans have pointed out: ‘Why bring her somewhere she’s not comfortable?’ after clips emerged of her holding up the ‘STOP’ sign.
Kim explained about the sign after the show: ‘North I guess had it with the people taking pictures of her so she wrote on her invite STOP and held it up to the people taking pics and wanted them to just focus on the show.’
But one fan wrote under her post: ‘If you know she don’t like the pics then why bring her to the FRONT ROW???’
Another said: ‘If your daughter doesn’t want her picture taken then don’t take her to sit front rows at a fashion show.
‘Also that’s how your entire family makes money, videos and pictures. May want to tell her that now.’

Someone else commented: ‘If she hates the spotlight so much, why bring her ? She’s gonna be another entitled celebrity who complains but enjoys the perks.
Another person said: ‘don’t you guys find it a little weird how this child is constantly, openly expressing her discomfort with paparazzi and people filming/taking pictures of her but no one actually thinks of listening and respect a child’s boundaries. though they obviously find all this creepy/weird.’
Representatives for Kim have been contacted by MailOnline for a comment.

For the show, Kim channeled her inner Madonna by sporting a remake of the singer’s controversial 1992 Jean Paul Gaultier dress.
While paying tribute to the Queen of Pop’s boundary-pushing dress with a slightly more concealed version in a pinstripe maxi dress with a plunging neckline and nude cups layered over the chest area.
The now 63-year-old’s dress had the same pinstripe patter, except rather than nude cups, it featured a leather harness around the chest – leaving her breasts completely exposed in the middle.
Dubbed one of the star’s most iconic and controversial looks, she walked the amfAR stage hand in hand with Gaultier, throwing off an oversized blazer to reveal her bare chest on the runway.

And going for the more toned down version of the look, Kim was still sporting her blonde hair to add to the accuracy of the recreation.
But when it came to accessories, she added some personality with some heavy duty silver wrist cuffs, a matching chunky choker, chains and a chain nose ring – which was similar to those in Jean Paul Gaultier’s 1994 Les Tatouages collection.
Meanwhile North, whose father is Kanye West, embraced the designer with a matching false nose ring.
Additionally, she wore a pinstripe skirt and waistcoat layered over a white shirt.
Coordinated: With a matching nose ring chain, North donned a similar look to her mother in a pinstripe skirt and waistcoat layered over a white shirt for the fashion show
