Ex-Rams victor Jalen Ramsey unveils breathtaking L.A. residence after switching to Dolphins

Jalen Ramsey, the esteemed six-time Pro Bowl cornerback and a member of the L.A. Rams’ 2022 Super Bowl-winning team, has put up his Los Angeles residence for sale after his trade to the Miami Dolphins.

This trade marked a significant transaction since Ramsey holds a top-ranking status among NFL cornerbacks. Following this move, he has listed his Hidden Hills estate for an impressive $13.995M

Having spent three and a half seasons with the Rams, playing an instrumental role in their Super Bowl victory in 2021, Ramsey was traded by the Rams to the Miami Dolphins. In exchange, the Rams received a 2023 third-round pick and tight end Hunter Long.

As he transitions to the Miami Dolphins, Ramsey has decided to sell his Hidden Hills property that he acquired in 2020 for $9.5M from Howie Mandel, according to The Wall Street Journal. Ramsey’s move to Miami prompted him to part with this investment property, which had been previously owned by the host of “America’s Got Talent.”

Guiding this sale is Lee Mintz from Compass, the same agent who facilitated Ramsey’s property purchase back in 2020.

Originally hailing from Tennessee, the accomplished cornerback shared that his search for a Los Angeles home began after he was traded to the Rams from the Jacksonville Jaguars. He ultimately selected the star-studded neighborhood of Hidden Hills, a choice influenced in part by its proximity to the Rams’ training facility in Thousand Oaks.

In an interview with the WSJ, Ramsey stated, “If I felt like I was gonna be continuing to come to California often, then I would probably just hang on to it, honestly, because I love the home.”

Back in 2020, Ramsey secured a lucrative five-year, $105M extension with the Rams, establishing him as the highest-paid defensive back in NFL history at that time. Nevertheless, the Rams’ current focus on managing finances led to this trade with Ramsey, whose contract lacked guaranteed money in the later stages, making him an attractive proposition for the Dolphins.

Presently, as of Forbes’ 2023 “30 Under 30: Sports,” the NFL star has a new contract that guarantees him a total of $35.5M through 2026 with the Dolphins.

The residence itself, located near Calabasas within the guard-gated Hidden Hills community, is a captivating modern farmhouse-style estate. Spanning three levels and 10,100 square feet, the house rests on a tranquil 1.4-acre lot and offers seven bedrooms and eight and a half bathrooms.

The main floor boasts a fluid arrangement of rooms illuminated by abundant natural light filtering through custom windows.

Ramsey described the property as a dream home that met most of his family’s criteria. “I made a few enhancements to perfect it and now it is tough coming to terms with selling it because I do love it,” he remarked. The property allows for relaxation, basketball, fitness, and more, embodying a versatile living experience.

The luxury residence is rich in details, from European white oak floors to classic Calacatta Borghini marble and sophisticated white kitchen countertops. The Control4 smart home system manages lighting, security, and audio-visual components.

According to Dirt, the primary house encompasses six en-suite bedrooms, with the master bedroom featuring a private sitting area, a double-sided fireplace, and dual walk-in closets. The spa-like bathroom is adorned with marble, and a balcony overlooks meticulously maintained gardens.

The basement showcases state-of-the-art amenities, including a theater and wine room, forming a five-star leisure suite. Additional features comprise a glass-encased office, indoor gym, and a spacious lounge with a professional wet bar, climate-controlled wine room, and access to a sunken terrace with a freestanding sauna.

Ramsey undertook enhancements to the guesthouse, driveway, and landscaping after acquiring the property. The lush gardens, sculpted trees, and elegant pool area contribute to the resort-like ambiance.

Amid the pandemic, Ramsey found solace in his residence, appreciating the convenience it offered. The secluded abode reflects privacy, opulence, and meticulous design.

Listing agent Lee Mintz noted the transformative changes Ramsey made to the property, particularly its outdoor spaces. “The landscaping makes the whole house. It’s such a fun house with a resort feel, it makes you never want to leave,” Mintz stated. While Ramsey cherishes the property, he now looks forward to sharing its splendor with a new owner who will appreciate its allure.
