Exceptional 17-year-old girl graduates US high school with 4.00GPA in just three years, set to become a Biomedical Engineer

An exceptional 17-year-old girl named Aysha Mann has achieved the remarkable feat of graduating from North Side High School in the United States with an outstanding 4.00 grade point in just three years.

Aysha Mann did not only graduate from North Side High School with an honors grde in a short period of time, she also made history as the first ever student to graudtate within three years since the inception f the scxhool.,

She was able to graduate through the state’s Move on When Ready Act. The Move on When Rady Act requires that students not only meet regular graduation requirements, but also score 21 or better on the ACT, pass a nationally recognized language proficiency assessment and complete two early post-secondary courses.

“Being in Jackson, I didn’t really believe there was much for me. I wanted to start my college experience and when I found out I had the opportunity, I couldn’t miss it,” Mann said.

Mann stated that she started the process that made her graduate early in middle school. She attended the Academic Academy at Northeast Middle School, gaining three high school credits.

Her accumulated credits allowed her to immediately begin her required coursework in high school. While a student, Mann earned the State and local honors and Graduation of Distinction.

She also obtained the TN Hope Lotto Scholarship Award, TN Ready Graduate, TN Scholars, Community Service Award, Daughters of the American Revolution Award, AP English Excellence Award Calculus Excellence Award and the president’s academic gold level.

She was also involved in the National Honor Society, Beta Club, student council, the book club, the AP program and Governor School for the Sciences and Engineering. She also volunteered with the American Care Center, and the special needs athletics.

Mann also participated in a month program at the University of Tennessee with rigorous three-hour-long courses and field trips is for the state’s top juniors and seniors who were ranked in the top 10th percentile of their class.

The program offered opportunities beyond what regular high school students may experience She said part of her life goals is to travel the world, volunteer more, start doing missionary work.

Mann mentioned that she will attend Mississippi State University where she will major in Biomedical engineering before getting her master’s degree, with hopes to work at a children’s hospital to research tissue regeneration
