Matt Murdock’s Daredevil has been given a neon-colored makeover in new MCU fan art ahead of his solo Disney+ series, Daredevil: Born Again.
Matt Murdock has been given a neon-colored makeover for a stunning fan-made MCU poster ahead of Phase 5’s upcoming Daredevil: Born Again series on Disney+. After debuting as Matt Murdock in Marvel Television’s Daredevil series on Netflix, Charlie Cox reprised his celebrated role in the MCU’s Multiverse Saga. Cox initially returned in Spider-Man: No Way Home and She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, but an upcoming cameo in Marvel Studios’ Echo will lead directly into his own solo series. The MCU’s Daredevil: Born Again is highly-anticipated, and with recent shake-ups in Marvel Studios’ TV productions, audiences are more excited than ever for Daredevil’s newest live-action adventure.
Since Marvel Studios chief Kevin Feige confirmed the development of Daredevil: Born Again in 2022, there has been speculation regarding what tone the upcoming series will take, and whether it will have similar textures to Charlie Cox’s previous Daredevil series. In striking new fan art shared by nourvart, Daredevil: Born Again is infused with neon textures, hinting at a vibrant and colorful new story for the MCU’s Devil of Hell’s Kitchen.
Nourvart also imagines Charlie Cox’s Daredevil in a comic-accurate superhero costume, fit with the classic “DD” emblem across his chest, which would mark yet another costume change for Daredevil following his yellow-and-red upgrade in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law.
What We Know About Daredevil: Born Again
Following the first announcement of Daredevil: Born Again in 2022, many details about the upcoming series were revealed, including the returns of Charlie Cox’s Daredevil, Vincent D’Onofrio’s Wilson Fisk, a.k.a. Kingpin, and Jon Bernthal’s Frank Castle, a.k.a. the Punisher, from Netflix’s Defenders Saga. The cast of Daredevil: Born Again has been fleshed out even further with MCU newcomers including Sandrine Holt’s Vanessa Fisk, Margarita Levieva, Michael Gandolfini and Nikki M. James, among others. However, Deborah Ann Woll and Elden Henson have been confirmed not to be returning as Karen Page and Foggy Nelson, despite wishes to see them reprise their roles.
2023’s WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes provided Marvel Studios with the opportunity to reevaluate the series’ production, which culminated in Daredevil: Born Again writers and directors being dropped, and a new narrative being woven for the upcoming show. The Punisher’s Dario Scardapane has been hired as Born Again’s new showrunner, and filmmaking duo Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead, who have worked on the MCU’s Moon Knight and Loki shows, will be directing a huge chunk of Daredevil: Born Again. This spells good news for the upcoming series, which will see Daredevil and Kingpin butting heads once again, fighting for the fate of New York City.
