She may have gained a few pounds since her last swimsuit photoshoot, but Mariah Carey is clearly feeling confident with her hourglass curves.
The 40-year-old flaunted her figure in a revealing satin swimsuit with plunging neckline as she frolicked on the beach during a video shoot yesterday.
But it appeared the clingy costume didn’t prove quite enough support for her famously ample cleavage.

With her new album Memoirs Of An Imperfect Angel riding high in the charts and her personal life better than ever, Mariah is feeling more confident and happier than ever before.
Speaking earlier this summer, she admitted her happy marriage to toyboy husband Nick Cannon, 29, had affected her waistline.
She said: ‘I’m a curvy girl and switch around with my diets all the time.’
When she first started dating Nick in March 2008, she was slim and toned thanks to daily workout sessions in her swimming pool.

This week, she has been doing a round of talk shows in America to promote her album and movie.
In another sign of her body confidence, Mariah wore a pair of stockings and suspenders, a thigh-grazing black dress and ankle-breaking Christian Louboutin platforms when she appeared on the Ellen DeGeneres Show.
Dancing over to Ellen, the comedienne complemented her underwear as outerwear, to which a flirtatious Mariah replied: ‘That’s for you.’

Showing off her suspenders to the audience, Mariah asked: ‘Just a question for the audience. From this side, are we cool? Are we good?’
The studio audience were obviously appreciative of Mariah’s racy outfit and greeted her with rapturous applause.
Ellen told her: ‘I see you went into my closet and got my garter. Those (suspenders) are fantastic, you look great.’
Appearing on Larry King Live last night, Mariah described her horror at hearing of Rihanna’s assault by ex-boyfriend Chris Brown this year and revealed her own emotional abuse by a former partner.

Referring to Rihanna’s case, Mariah said: ‘I was very sequestered, as you know, when I first started out … I wasn’t really allowed out of the house, so I can’t imagine what she went through.’
When asked if she had ever been the victim of abuse, Mariah replied: ‘Emotionally, mentally, in other ways … It’s scary.
‘You know, I just think you get into a situation and you feel locked in. If your situation is similar to one of the situations I’ve been in – which I won’t harp on – for me, to really get out, it was difficult because there was a connection that was not only a marriage but a business thing, where the person was in control of my life.’
While Mariah has been critical of her first marriage to record boss Tommy Mottola, he has remained quiet.

Mariah also denied reports she was pregnant with her first child, insisting her life is too busy to focus on parenthood right now.
She explained: ‘It would be the happiest thing in my life, but what I’m saying is right now with this movie coming out, with the next few singles from the album and those things that I’m doing, I need to focus on that, because I cannot do the having-a-child thing halfway.
‘I wouldn’t be just like, “Oh, I’m having a child, Yay! Let me get a nanny so I can give her the baby. Take the kid.” That doesn’t work for me. I don’t believe in that.’
Earlier this week, Mariah found out her single Obsessed went platinum, meaning she is the most successful female artist ever.
