The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers and update for Wednesday, December 27, reveal that Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) will continue to fret over Eric Forrester’s (John McCook) recovery and whether he’ll be able to get back to normal.
Ridge is grateful to John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) for coming up with the treatment that saved Eric’s life, but now he’s stuck wondering if Eric really wanted to return.
Since Eric flatlined in the recovery room, Ridge has been considering the idea that his father might’ve liked the other side better.
Of course, Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) thinks the fact that Eric came back to them is proof of where he wants to be.
Even so, Ridge fears Eric’s going to hate him if he can’t ultimately resume the full, satisfying life that he used to live.
That’s why Ridge will express concern to Finn on Wednesday’s B&B episode, so he’ll point out that Eric isn’t making much progress and wonder if that’s a bad sign.
Finn will do his best to offer reassurance and insist that things like this take time. It’s unrealistic to expect Eric to bounce back overnight, so Ridge just has to be patient.
Finn has been clear about Eric having a long road to recovery ahead, so he’ll remind Ridge of that.
However, Finn will definitely see some encouraging milestones from Eric and will promise that he’s pleased with the rate of recovery so far.
At Forrester Creations, Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) will expect an answer now that she’s asked Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) if she loves Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson).
Thomas could easily pipe up that Hope doesn’t have to answer that and scold Steffy for trying to stir up drama.
Since Thomas feels confident that Hope loves him, he may insist she doesn’t have to prove it with some big speech to Steffy.
Nevertheless, Hope will have a few things to say to Steffy anyway.
As Hope fights back against Steffy, it sounds like she’ll defend her relationship and try to put Steffy in her place.
Whether Hope confirms her love for Thomas or not, she’ll know they’re both right where they want to be.
Steffy will have lingering concerns about Hope toying with Thomas, so she’ll warn Hope not to mess with her brother since she could send him back off the rails.
