Untelevised footage shows Andre Onana wildly celebrating as Manchester United secured a second-half comeback to defeat Aston Villa

Unseen footage of Andre Onana celebrating Manchester United‘s comeback win over Aston Villa has gone viral on social media.

With pressure mounting on Erik ten Hag following a series of disappointing results, the club entered Tuesday’s clash at Old Trafford in dire need of momentum.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe‘s £1.3bn deal to purchase a 25% stake in the club was finally announced on Sunday, at the 71-year-old billionaire’s right-hand man and INEOS sporting director Sir David Brailsford watched on from the stands.

Despite hopes the investment would inspire confidence on the pitch, United fell behind early against Unai Emery‘s high-flying Villa, with John McGinn and Leander Dendoncker giving the visitors a two-goal lead heading into the interval.

United rallied after the break and looked to have pegged Villa back when Alejandro Garnacho put the ball in the back of the net but the goal was ruled out for offside following a VAR review.

Ten Hag’s side continued undeterred, and Garnacho was again at the centre of the action as he scored twice in the space of 12 minutes to put his side back on level pegging heading into the closing stages.

Onana could barely contain his excitement and Amazon Prime Video cameras caught the United goalkeeper rushing to celebrate towards the United fans.

The Cameroonian then ran the length of the pitch to join his teammates to celebrate Rasmus Hojlund’s winner 10 minutes from time.

The Dane netted his first Premier League goal following his £73m move from Atalanta in the summer to seal a famous comeback win and relieve some of the pressure that had been building on Erik ten Hag.

Onana then ran the entire length of the pitch to embrace with Hojlund following his winner at Old Trafford

Speaking following the game the 20-year-old detailed his delight in finally getting off the mark in the Premier League after 14 games without a goal.

‘I’m the happiest man alive right now,’ said Hojlund. ‘You can see in the celebrations as well. We believed until the end and we showed a lot of character.

‘It’s one of the best days of my life. It’s been a while in the Premier League now so I’m happy to get the first one and hopefully I can build on that and keep going.’
