Ava Jerome faced tremendous highs and lows, but mostly lows on General Hospital in 2023. Definitely not her best year in Port Charles. While the new year is set to bring some celebrations and romance for some characters, unfortunately, Ava’s year is about to bring a new shocker! Those who tuned into the previous episode of the ABC soap saw someone creeping onto her, while she did not even have time to gasp! But who is it, and what do they want? Let’s find out!

General Hospital Spoilers: Mystery Hand Ambushes Ava

Previously, on General Hospital, after suffering several ordeals and living under constant fear, Ava cracked. She decided she had had enough and mentally went back to the Gangster princess she once used to be. Ava ripped Austin down for everything he had done and then fearlessly confronted Cyrus. She told the big baddie quite clearly that she wasn’t scared of him, or anyone else for that matter.

GH/ Who has cornered Ava?

It seemed for a little while there that all was going to be well for Ava on General Hospital after all. Unfortunately, that does not seem to be the case. Well, it is GH, after all! How long can anyone be in peace? So, the latest offering and preview of the soap saw Ava being ambushed! A mystery figure approached her and covered her mouth with their hand. Not giving her even a second to react. Ava stares at them wide-eyed. But who is it really? Could the presumed dead have returned?

Is Nikolas Back On General Hospital?

So, the very iconic Roger Howarth addressed the fact that he indeed has exited General Hospital. If he hadn’t set the record straight on that one, we would have assumed Austin had returned. Although, one can never be too sure in Soap land! So, there is still a marginal possibility that Austin could have returned, and Roger Howarth was just throwing us off by saying he was done for good from the ABC soap. However, there is another character who is actually quite overdue to return- Nikolas Cassadine!

GH/ Is Nik back?

We know he is alive! Ava and Laura know he is alive. We recently saw actor Adam Huss reprise Nik for a mini stint on General Hospital. So we don’t see why he shouldn’t return full-time! In fact, if there was a best time for him to come back, it would be now! Port Charles is once again without a villain. Cyrus isn’t really doing anything, Brennan ended even before he actually started. So, a darker Nik would be fun to watch!

Especially with Esme’s memories back, it would be a great face-off between Nik and her. And, of course, he does have a major score to settle with Ava. So, if the hand silencing Ava is him, then we are totally psyched! It would be thrilling to watch how they face each other! Do you think he would want revenge on her? Tell us in the comments.
