Golfing pro-turned-Instagram model Paige Spiranac has spoken out about the return of Tiger Woods at next week’s PNC Championship, saying that the occasion will be “really special”
Paige Spiranac has said she can’t contain her excitement over the prospect of golfing legend Tiger Woods making a comeback to the sport next week.
Spiranac, who’s an ex-golfer but now focusing on Instagram modelling, took to social media to convey her shock that Woods would be making a return to the green.
Woods will be playing with his son, Charlie, in the PNC Championship – also known as the Father/Son Challenge – in Florida next week.
Recently he posted a video of his practise shots – but no one anticipated that he would be making a comeback so quickly.
Spiranac reposted the video soon after, saying “He’s winning another a major.”
And she also tweeted: “I can’t believe we get to see Tiger play again and with his son. It’s going to be really special. I’m excited.”

Woods – who’s won 15 major tournaments, including the 2019 Masters – has been out of action ever since he suffered an injury in a severe car crash in February.
The 45-year-old sustained several injuries and was close to having his leg amputated.
He said in a recent press conference: “It’s hard to explain how difficult it has been just to be immobile for the three months, just laying there.
He continued: “There were some tough times in there, there were some really, really tough times. The pain got pretty great at times, but they helped me get through it and I’m on the better side of it.”
“I don’t foresee this leg ever being what it used to be, and I’ll never have my back to what it used to be, and the clock’s ticking,” he said. “I’m getting older, I’m not getting any younger.
“All that combined means that a full schedule and a full practice schedule and the recovery that it would take to do that, no, I don’t have any desire to do that.”

The tournament starts next Thursday, lasting from 16-19 December at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Club , Orlando.
Woods stated: “Although it’s been a long and challenging year, I am very excited to close it out by competing in the PNC Championship with my son Charlie.”
“I’m playing as a dad and couldn’t be more excited and proud.”
The official lineup of the 20 duos was announced this earlier week.
Woods has also expressed an interest in competing in some specific one-off tournaments – with St Andrews next July for the 150th Open championship being one.
