Why Reigns Vs. Rock doesn’t appear to be going down at WWE Elimination Chamber 2024…
WWE
Roman Reigns is not scheduled to appear at the upcoming Elimination Chamber PLE, so The Rock seemingly won’t be taking on his cousin in Perth, Australia.
That’s according to Dave Meltzer, who wrote in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that not only has the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion never been advertised for the show, there still aren’t currently any plans for him to pop up down under on February 24.
Meltzer even speculated how the company could opt to go for a three-way between the family members and Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 40. Though he would note, “I don’t think that will come out until many weeks from now.”
For now, though, it appears the rumours of Rock vs. Reigns going down at that event in the wake of ‘The Great One’s Raw Day 1 ‘Head of the Table’ comments are not accurate.
That match was planned to go down at last year’s WrestleMania, of course. But that plan obviously never happened and Reigns defended his gold against ‘The American Nightmare’ instead.
Reigns will put his strap on the line once again at the upcoming Royal Rumble PLE as LA Knight, Randy Orton, and AJ Styles all look to dethrone ‘The Head of the Table’ before ‘Mania 40.
As always, things can change rather quickly in the world of pro wrestling. For now, though, it looks like WrestleMania will be the destination if this dream match FINALLY becomes a reality.
