The original belief for the top matches at WWE WrestleMania 40 was Cody Rhodes vs. Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns and CM Punk vs. World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins. However, The Rock’s unexpected return and the possibility of a match against Reigns may disrupt those plans.
While appearing on ESPN’s First Take, The Rock was asked about the match, noting that he thinks there’s a chance of it happening. Should it happen at WrestleMania, he thinks it would make for the greatest and biggest WrestleMania of all time.
He added that if he did the match, he would want the world to watch.
