Young African man bags Accounting degree with 4.94/5.00CGPA, wins 2 awards as best student

A brilliant young lady named Ibrahim Quadri has bagged an Accounting degree with first-class honors of 4.94 over a possible 5.00 cumulative grade point at the University of Lagos, Nigeria. He also won three different awards for the best-graduating student.

Ibrahim emerged as the best-graduating student in the university’s Humanities. He also won the award of the best-graduating student of the University of Lagos’s Faculty of Management Science and Department of Accounting.

He shared his achievement of graduating from the university on his LinkedIn describing his success as a wonderful feat. ”I graduated as the Best Graduating Student University of Lagos (Humanities) with a CGPA of 4.94 at the 54th Convocation ceremonies,” he said.

Ibrahim said one of his favorite moments was during the University of IOWA’s partnership with the University of Lagos and SuperDeco Dakar to participate in a transnational entrepreneurship course.

He stated that he worked with a diverse team of people from the United States and Senegal to solve a wicked problem of security, with a focus on SDG 16 adding that it was very interesting because he worked with people from different backgrounds.

Ibrahim said he was part of the 2nd edition of the program and due to their performance, the participants for the University of Lagos increased to 15 from 10 in the next cohort. He expressed his gratitude to his friends and course advisor for making his academic journey less challenging.

He also thanked TotalEnergies Foundation and Ituah Ighodalo Foundation for awarding him a scholarship during his undergraduate program. Ibrahim stated that he is looking forward to using the skills and knowledge he acquired to make a positive impact on the world.
