Ridley Scott has directed House Of Gucci, which will see Adam Driver portraying Maurizio opposite Gaga as his scenery-chewing wife.
They are heading up a star-studded cast with other members of the Gucci family played by Jared Leto, Salma Hayek, Jeremy Irons and Al Pacino.
After the premiere this Tuesday – where Gaga let the cape of her frock billow over her head – the movie will bow in the US on November 24 and the UK on the 26th.
Earlier this year Patrizia complained to the Italian wire service ANSA: ‘I am rather annoyed at the fact that Lady Gaga is playing me in the new Ridley Scott film without having had the consideration and sensibility to come and meet me.’

She insisted: ‘It is not an economic question. I won’t get a cent from the film. It is a question of good sense and respect.’
Gaga explained her decision in a new interview, telling British Vogue: ‘You know, I only felt that I could truly do this story justice if I approached it with the eye of a curious woman who was interested in possessing a journalistic spirit so that I could read between the lines of what was happening in the film’s scenes.’
The Italian American celeb added: ‘Meaning that nobody was going to tell me who Patrizia Gucci was. Not even Patrizia Gucci.’
As a couple Patrizia and Maurizio lived a sensational jet-setting lifestyle amid a social circle that included Jacqueline Onassis who also lent her luster to Gucci’s clothes.

Patrizia gave her husband two daughters, Alessandra and Allegra, but he dumped her for another woman in 1985 and the divorce became official in 1991.
In a Guardian profile a few years ago Patrizia discussed their marital problems and pointed to his poor skill at running the company after his father Rodolfo died.
Gruppo Gucci hemorrhaged money under Maurizio who eventually sold it to the Bahrain-based company Investcorp in 1993.
‘I was angry with Maurizio about many, many things at that time. But above all, this. Losing the family business. It was stupid. It was a failure,’ said Patrizia in 2016.

‘I was filled with rage, but there was nothing I could do,’ she confessed before adding softly: ‘He shouldn’t have done that to me.’
Although it was 1995 when she had a hit man dispatch Maurizio – the grandson of the brand’s founder Guccio Gucci – she was not arrested until the beginning of 1997.
When a reporter asked her why she used an assassin instead of doing the job herself she joked: ‘My eyesight is not so good. I didn’t want to miss.’
The ‘Black Widow’s’ trial became a media circus and she was convicted in 1998, serving 18 years before being paroled in 2016.

She had been offered parole a half-decade prior but turned it down because of the expectation that she would find employment.
‘I’ve never worked in my life and I don’t intend to start now,’ Patrizia reportedly informed her lawyer at the time.
Roberto Bentivegna adapted the script of the film from Sara Gay Forden’s book The House Of Gucci: A Sensational Story Of Murder, Madness, Glamour And Greed.
